Match report

After the slight confusion caused by contrasting times being told to the competitors by different Facebook events, everyone eventually ended up where they should at a time roughly approximating when they should have been there. The first order of business assembling the targets, seeing how many were still shootable, trying to keep hold of escaping target faces . This was achieved and the next form of entertainment came as it was attempted to see how many novices it would take to put up the green gazebo, (who needs the pesky instructions, not us!) answers on a postcard. After the alumni waded in to the rescue, the field was finally set up and ready to go.
Field captain/ work party and judge Liam Mcdonnell kicked off proceedings with a stirring few words and everything was at last underway.
Two rounds were being shot, novice SUAC ladies Abby, Juste, Steph, Aurelie and alumni Emily shooting the Windsor. SUAC seniors David, Dani, Suz, Ally, Fiona, Janna, Samantha and Sam Baldwin, SUAC novices Caio and Patrick and Alumni John, Richard, Jess, Gina, Dom, Rachel and Colin all shooting the Albion.
The weather stayed fine throughout the day, a bit windy to mess with sight marks, but the scheduled rain holding off until the last dozen.
After the arrival of our Lord Paramount Tap Fawcett, the medal ceremony was begun. The results are below:

So, with some careful deliberation, it was decided that this year current SUAC team takes the win! The team of Aurelie, Abby and David totalled 2271 while the alumni team of Richard, John and Dominic followed up with a credible 2134.
