Well you have come to the right place. Here you can find little introductions to each and every member of our committee – with fun facts to go along.
Captain – Parsa Riazi-Farzad
This is your captain speaking, my name is Parsa and I’m a 4th year Biology student. I shoot barebow to save money and justify my low scores. You can generally find me at the range crying about my degree, or gushing over peak fiction (absolute superman my GOAT). I’ve been told I’m apparently ‘responsible for the club’ so if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to come to me for ‘help’.
Vice Captain – Masha Ignatieva
Hey everyone! — My name is Masha, I’m a Master’s student in Human Resources Management and this year’s SUAC Vice Captain! I’m here to support the team, help keep things running smoothly, and of course, maintain good vibes both on and off the range.
I’m always up for a chat about anything and everything (classic extroverted introvert!).
Also, fair warning: I’m rarely without my camera, so expect plenty of iconic moments to be captured!
Secretary – Carlo Alberti
Hi all. My name is Carlo, I’m a 2nd year Biomedical Sciences Student your Secretary for this academic year. My bowstyle is compound – the coolest of all and unfortunately the most expensive. You may often find me in misery over compound expenses :(

Treasurer – Alfred Bestford
Hi, I’m alfred and i’m the treasurer for this year. On top of that i am one of the clubs session coaches, and i shoot recurve.
Equipment Officers
Equipment Sr. – Minseok Kim
Hi, I’m Min. I am a 4th-year Biology and Marine Biology student. I have been shooting for 7 years, and I am the person who makes sure that your equipment doesn’t fall apart. Feel free to approach me and my dear assistant if you have equipment-related problems. I am also a qualified coach and more than happy to help you become a better archer.
Equipment Jr. – Harvey Bishop
Hi my names Harvey, I’m your equipment officer 2 and a recurve archer. I am a 2nd year Marine Biology student and I hope to help with any and all things equipment related. I’ve only been shooting for a year, but I will at least be able to point you to someone who can help. Have a great time shooting.
Competitons Officer – Nathan Waring
Hello, I am Nathan, your competitions officer and local barebow. I am a 2nd year Oceanography student. I am happy to help with anything, if it’s questions about comps I will get you the answers but it might take a little time since I only began shooting in 2024. I hope to run some fun comps that you can take part in :D.
Socials Officer – Alex Shergold
Salutations everyone! My name is Alex, I’m a 4th year Geophysics student, and I’m your Socials Officer for this year. Whilst I may be perpetually busy being the greatest bloke known to mankind itself, I occasionally take time out of my tortured existence to shoot some arrows. But not to work on my degree – obviously.
Records Officer – Lyra Ellwood
Hey, I’m Lyra, your records officer and welfare officer. I’m a 2nd year marine biology student, and more importantly a compound archer (the bow style with the greatest vibes). I’m always happy to talk about archery, turtles or anything else and can often be found at the range.
Website Officer – Thomas Allen
Hello, I’m Tom, the website officer and a second year computer-science student here at Southampton. I’m a right-handed man shooting left-handed recurve, identified by my orange bow bag, quiver, and basically anything else I could find. I’ve been shooting since October 2024 and plan to be here for the next few years at least. I shoot (poorly) as much as I can, but otherwise can be found in B60 “working” or at a pub.
